The IUPAP Travel Grant
We are excited to announce a travel grant program for physics students thanks to the generous support of our sponsor, the International Union of Pure and Applied Physics (IUPAP). This grant aims to help students attend and participate in our upcoming conference!
Applications open April 7th and close May 31st!
We understand the financial burden of travel can be a barrier to attending conferences. This program is designed to support students from developing countries with demonstrated needs who are eager to contribute to the ICPS experience.
The application
Interested members should send their:
- Application form (linked below);
- Personal statement (included in the application form);
- Resume / CV (up to two pages);
- Official Transcript issued by the university;
- Additional (optional) documents, regarded relevant by the participant.
All documents are sent using the application form. All applicants must be registered for ICPS 2024.
The committee
Applications will be evaluated and judged anonymously by the members of the organising committee, the advisory committee, and the partner representatives.
The criteria
- Need: It is an unfortunate reality that not all students (or humans, for that matter) have equal external conditions. Our goal is to give all students from around the globe a fair chance to take part in our event, thus giving them a chance to grow strong roots in the scientific community and help make the world a better place.
- Participation and merit: We take great care so that our scientific programme is up to high standards. This ensures undeniable scientific value for all our participants. To this end, we want to make sure that we are funding the individuals who not only take, but give to the scientific community, ultimately fostering positive global change.
The procedure
- We accept applications until 31.05.2024, 23:59 GMT+4;
- The committee will have a few weeks (depending on the amount of applicants) to process and vote anonymously;
- The winners will be announced after the voting is finished.
